Ok so no sew - no worries, you just need to get yourself a pod. A pod is a social group of dolphins and morsbags have borrowed the term for a sociable group of morsbaggers. The trick is that the whole is greater than the sum of the parts....not everyone needs to be able to sew to be in the pod, there are plenty other jobs too, cutting out, ironing, serving the wine/refreshments (this is a very important role as it makes the sewing MUCH easier;-)), handing out the bags. My kids can make morsbags now - it is much easier than you think. Go on, make a new year's resolution to stop running away from sewing machines...make a bag, make a difference!

I started sewing by hand because of my mom and grandmother and then Santa brought me a little Singer sewing machine when I was about 8 or 9 and I loved it. I could only ever make pillows, but I had fun using it. In 8th grade I was TERRIBLE in Home Ec (yes, I am that old!!!) and my mom had to finish the wrap skirt I was doing for my final grade.

I did much better in my typing class that year. :D

I wish I could sew! But I learned in middle school that I can't even sit down at a sewing machine without a) being terrified of the needle, and b) getting a killer headache.

My mom, though, can make just about anything. I end up saving scraps of fabric, even though she doesn't have a machine, right now.
