Alternative to bottled water

I drink a lot of water. I take water with me everywhere.

But I don’t buy bottled water. Why? Many reasons: it’s heavy to carry from the store, it’s expensive, and it’s not good for the environment. Often, it’s just filtered tap water anyway.

So, what do you do when you want to take water with you? A couple of years ago I stopped buying bottled water. I got a water purifier (the pitcher kind that you fill up from the tap) and some Rubbermaid water bottles. Why Rubbermaid? I wanted some bottles that were dishwasher safe and that didn’t have an annoying squirt top or sip thing that you have to open and close. I hate opening those with my hand.

Yes, Rubbermaid makes those too. But they also make chug bottles. Well, you sort of have to open these too, but you can open it without touching the part your mouth will touch. Do I sound like a germaphobe yet?
