I’m bigger than two, what to do

Yip, dental floss. Not what you expected?

I’m taking a break from the endangered species posts today. It’s a little too sad for a rainy day (in my area anyway).

What I’d like to know is how many of you have recycling centers that only accept plastics #1 and #2? What do you do with your other plastic items? Glide floss, which I love and has saved me many tooth decays, is #5.

I have to admit… I’ve been throwing away my plastics that aren’t accepted by the city. But in baby-step fashion, it’s good I’m recycling paper, plastics #1 and #2, steel, aluminum and glass. I just haven’t expanded to the mysterious higher-number plastics yet. But I will look into it!

ps– dental floss is really bad for kitties. that’s why i have covered trash cans. no kitties were harmed for this photo!

We used to have the same problem in our area, only plastics #1 and 2. And of course, many of the “off-brand” items I buy seem to have higher numbers on the containers. It was so frustrating! Thankfully, our city got a new recycling company, and now they take all of the numbers. Maybe you can call your recycling center and find out what they recommend you do with them? Good luck!
