Shopping baggies

August 9th, 2007

As promised, I have found some reusable shopping bags to take to the store. They are machine-washable and the description claims they hold more than the usual plastic shopping bag. I ordered them from www.reusablebags.com. Just go to Shopping Bags / Basic Tote. I selected the ECOBAGS Recycled Cotton Tote in Natural. You can read several customer reviews on this site if that kind of thing helps you.

Of course I will post a photo and tell you how I like them once they arrive. They are somewhere in a UPS truck right now. I’ve heard some people say they would be embarrassed to take their own bags to the store. Why is this? The 16-year-old boy bagging your groceries does not care. Or the retired guy who just wants to get out of the house. Or anyone else bagging your groceries (no stereotypes).

Some stores even give discounts if you take your own bags. I haven’t found any stores like this in my area, but it’s still true in some parts. Check with your grocery store manager.
