Organic Color-Grown Cotton Rag Dolls

What could be safer than an organic color-grown cotton doll? Color-grown organic cotton has natural color — no need for dyes. Taraluna, one of my favorite online fair trade shops, has just started carrying some adorable rag dolls. If you know me at all, you’re not surprised I’m showing you the cat version.

The Mama Cat Doll is one of the most adorable organic toys I’ve ever seen! If your kid is a feline fan, how can you go wrong with the Mama Cat? According to Taraluna’s product description, this cat is wearing “old-fashioned bloomers” under her dress and apron. Plus, Mama Cat and similar dolls offered at Taraluna are made from organic color-grown clothing remnants that may otherwise be discarded during the manufacturing process. Everything is made by hand, and the stuffing is composed of recycled water bottles.

Other organic color-grown cotton dolls offered include the Mia Doll and the Morgan Doll. Yes, they are human, not feline!

I’ve ordered from Taraluna before and was pleased with the service and the products. They offer gifts that are not only green, but also socially responsible. Plus, their products are refreshingly different from the stuff you see at the mall or Target.
