I admire this candle so much I have to post about it. Aveda’s soy wax candle, shampure, is made from 25 pure flower and plant essences, including certified organic lavender.

You know how organic foods tend to taste better? Candles made with organic ingredients are one of the most amazing things you’ll ever smell.

The packaging is made up of 55 percent post-consumer paper and printed with soy ink. The glass container that the candle comes in is made of 95 percent post-consumer glass.

    Hey now, you and I think alike. I have some last minute gift idea posts going up too and one of my gifts is a candle. Not this one though. It looks great.

    I ordered this one for my mom-in-law a few weeks ago and actually unwrapped it just so I could take the photo. Well, maybe I wanted to sniff it again too : ) Hope she isn’t reading.

    That’s a great last minute gift idea…and yes, there is something “better” smelling about soy candles. They’re so yummy! I love that my favorite local natural stores makes and sells them. And great tip about Aveda’s sustainability policy.
