You know what I like? What’s giving me a little thrill? Bringing my junk mail back to the apartment and putting it in my paper/newspaper recycle basket. This prevents that tinge of guilt I felt at throwing the junk into the trash can beside the apartment mailboxes. And it almost smothers away that smaller tinge of nasty I felt toward these people who thought I wanted their junkola.
However, it does take more energy to recycle something than it does to never create it in the first place. That’s an incentive to get your name off as many junk mail lists as possible. There are several ways to do this, but don’t reply to e-mail offers to opt out of junk mail. These are often sent by fraudulent people looking to steal your information by posing as a real company. I’m contacting some experts to let you know the BEST way to stop receiving junk mail.
