World Water Day 2010: It’s Today!

If you’re reading this, you probably have the luxury of your very own comfortable and clean bathroom with that amazing thing called a toilet. And you have plenty of clean water. Yet, that’s not the case for many children and families in this world we share.

The World’s Longest Toilet Queue (a Guinness World Record attempt) and many other events will take place today to bring attention to the global water and sanitation crisis that kills 4,000 children each day.

World Water Day comes ahead of the meeting of global politicians in Washington, DC. to talk about what should be done to assist everyone with gaining the basics that can mean so much: access to a sanitary toilet and clean water. Sign a petition at Live Earth showing your support for this goal.
