This groovy, curvy green goddess is a mighty fine tooth cleaning tool. Of course, you can buy Preserve toothbrushes in a variety of colors, but I thought the green would be appropriate for this post.
What’s so cool about the Preserve toothbrush from Recycline?
In terms of use:
* This dentist-engineered brush has a handle that allows you to effortlessly clean your back teeth. It feels very ergonomic!
* The nylon bristles feel great, not too soft or too rough. And they have tri-level rows that assist in cleaning between teeth and gums.
In terms of the environment:
* The handle is made from 100 percent recycled plastics, including yogurt cups from Stonyfield Farm. And the vented container can be used as a travel case!
* The toothbrush and container are so easy to recycle. Just download a postage-paid mailer and send it back to Recycline. They will make sure it gets a new life as plastic lumber, used in park benches.
* If there’s no retailer near you, order in bulk online.
If you are like me, you use whatever toothbrush your dentist gives you at cleanings twice a year. However, the ADA recommends replacing your toothbrush every three to four months.
I am not sure I’m going to go from replacing my brush every six months to every three months, but it is wise to change your brush after you have a cold or other illness. Plus, you can keep a few of these brushes around for house guests.
I plan on recommending this toothbrush to my dentist on my next visit. I might even get brave and present him a brush as a gift. If a dentist replaces the regular toothbrushes given out twice a year to each patient with recycled brushes (that are easy to recycle again), then imagine what an impact that might make.
PS – I paid $4 for this brush at my local health food store. However, it is cheaper to order four online.
