Lynn from Little Kay Gardens is sponsoring a contest to give away a package of Flowering Gift Wrap to two winners! The recycled gift wrap is seeded with hundreds of wildflower seeds. The person receiving your gift will have a whole new way to recycle!
In a recent comment, Lynn said,
“I am a mom of two girls. Throwing out birthday party gift-wrap made me realize I had become a significant contributor to the landfill crisis in our country…. so this summer I did something about it. I reached out to an incredible horticulturist, Jim Johansen, and together we developed Flowering Wrapping Paper!
I wanted to create an accessible way for people to make a difference. This is a product we all use, and if you can give the gift of flowers as well, even better!
This pre-seeded gift-wrap is made from 100% recycled paper and currently available in 3 colors, with more on the way! The planting instructions are easy to follow and can be found with our gift cards and on our website.”

Leave one comment on this post telling me about any green new year’s goals you made (ie, taking your own bags to the store or buying recycled paper). Two winners will be randomly selected and announced on January 22, 2009. (Enter by end of day on January 21.)
Also, please check your spam filters as the winners will have three days to respond to my email before I pick someone else.
Good luck!

My goal is to use less prepackaged products to cut down on the amount of garbage we send to the land fill every year. We have been generating a lot of trash for a 3 person family.

One of my Green resolutions is to compost kitchen and yard waste; we already recycle, changed lightbulbs, buy green more and more, and grow more of our own food. Thanks for the giveaway.

I have made many green resolutions for myself this year, including not using any paper towels to dry my hands, but the most important one is to build my new house this year and make it as green as I can.

We’ve really turned over a new (GREEN) leaf – quite a few in fact. From recycling, to buying (and EATING!) green. Growing our own organic herbs and veggies! Always bringing our “green bags” to the grocery (and other) stores. This follows last year’s resolution – to conserve water, gas and electricity – we’ve kept that one too!

I have been trying to remember to bring my tote bag to the grocery store with me. Unfortunately I can never remember. I have been wanting to get my preschool involved with recycling. It would be a win win for them. They would make money with the funds and they would be helping with the environment

I am now working on doing my part to help the environment by using reusable grocery bags, recycle and compost and try to conserve gas by driving much less. Please help me take another step to become a greener person! Thank you so much for the opportunity to enter & dream about these wonderful items.
